{"id":316,"date":"2016-07-17T07:06:59","date_gmt":"2016-07-17T11:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ctpres.org\/ctpressblog\/?p=316"},"modified":"2021-03-01T05:38:15","modified_gmt":"2021-03-01T10:38:15","slug":"ctpress-july-25-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ctpres.org\/ctpressblog\/2016\/07\/17\/ctpress-july-25-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"CTPress July 17, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I want you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctpres.org\/ctpressblog\/2016\/06\/21\/life-of-the-church-calendar\/\">mark a date on your calendar: Sunday,\u00a0July 24<\/a>. That morning, we are hosting one of the missionaries we support, Dr. Drake Williams. Drake is a\u00a0professor at Tyndale Seminary in the Netherlands.\u00a0Drake is part of the administrative team for the seminary, and a professor of New Testament. Drake and his\u00a0colleagues train students from all over Africa, Asia, and\u00a0parts of Europe. Upon graduation, most of these\u00a0students return to their home countries to continue\u00a0spreading the gospel. Because most of the student population of the seminary is from relatively poor countries,\u00a0the seminary chooses to shift as much of the financial\u00a0burden away from the students as possible. Each professor must raise half of his salary in support from other\u00a0churches and individuals in order to keep serving at\u00a0Tyndale.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, July 24, Drake and his family will host a\u00a0Sunday School class for adults and older children in the\u00a0fellowship hall, where Drake will share in greater detail\u00a0about what is happening at the seminary.
