Dear Website Visitor – it has come to our attention that since approximately August 28, 2021, an imposter has been fraudulently contacting the public asking for money. Please note that Charles Town Presbyterian Church (CTPC):

1. Does not engage in mass “telemarketing” or “robo calling” to solicit for money.
2. Has reported this “Charity/Imposter Scam” to the FTC and we suggest you report it too. Per that FTC site, this unwanted party is using a technique called “spoofing” or changing the Caller ID to be the Church’s phone number.
3. Encourages safe church giving by suggesting you read the FTC’s Before Giving to a Charity.

CTPC openly publishes it’s registered charitable organization and tax deduction documentation, which is renewed each year to ensure compliance.

If you experience such a call, please report it immediately to the FTC and/or kindly let our office know.
